In your opinion, WHAT STANDS FOR LOVE? ( Symbolize for love) ?
Symbols of love!
Most of the people think the heart is associated as the symbol of love. It’s really … I don’t know how to say … It’s a little bit not surprised and a little bit strange to receive the same answer from many different people from the young to the old. It seems that the heart- shaped was set in mind of most of the people as a symbol of love since they were very young. So, why is the heart-shaped, not the other part of the body? ….
Well, it’s not a difficult question. As everyone knows, when we stop breathing, our hearts are still beating and we are waiting for a chance to survive. Generally, this is just the simple, common explanation of people based on their biological knowledge. As you know, our heart is not as beautiful,lovely, and red as the heart that we often draw to our lovers. In fact, it’s so ugly and terrible with little yellow mixing little red and little black of the neutron vessels. It also has a disgusting shape like an old football. The icon of real heart is stylized shape with mostly in pink or red color and sometimes it’s crystallized. The color and the shape depend on the emotion and ideas of the makers.
Usually, it has red color, which symbolizes of blood, passion, strong emotion, romantic……
So the icon and the real heart have nothing in common at all. The fact is that the heart shaped symbol has its own history. Let’s me share the 3 very interesting histories of the symbol of love.

The first history:
"It is said, that the double humps atop a stylized heart vaguely recall a male reproductive organ, head's shape, but rounded rather than pointed. Or can also depict the human female body, such as the female reproductive organ, the Sumerian cuneiform or its mound. And some maintains a
resemblance to the shape of the female breasts or buttocks. " (from a book))

And the other historian said that the Silphium seed pod of the ancient Greek accounted for that.
You know, the seed pod had the shape like a heart, which can be seen engraved on the ancient coins of the city of Cyrene. The Greek believed that plant ( the Silphium seed pod) was a gift from
Apollo. Apollo is an Archer-God of medicine ( tạm dịch là: thần Y, or thần Mặt Trời, ông ta hay help người chữa bệnh, đem đến công lí, ánh sang..). Its ingredient was mostly effective to be natural
birth-control medicine of that time (birth-control: dịch là : kế hoạch hóa gia đình). It was used as an herbal contraceptive. So its shape may have come to be associated with sexuality and love. (the ancient coin)


The third one is that because the heart shape is formed by the back and wings of a dove, which was
associated with Aphrodite, the ancient Greek Goddess of Love.
That’s it.

For me, love can be any thing from the ones you love (your lover, your parents, your friends, neighbors…). It’s not about what you can receive from them; it’s actually about how
they show their love to you or how they give you their love. When I feel lonely, I need love from the others, naturally I think about a warm hand that can push me up. When I have big problem to face, I think about the love from nature. That’s the wind, which can blow away my sorrows and I can feel fresh to try to figure out the solution. When I feel so disappointed I immediately think about the love from the other world, that’s my grandpa traveling to the heaven now. … That’s my symbols of love. What’s about you?

Yes, I think heart is the sympol for love,too.
Your question is really interesting. Maybe the reason is the heart is the sympol for the life, everybody need a heard to exist, it's the most important thing for existence. Also, love is the most important emotion we need to become a human. So, heart is the sympol for both life and the emotion.
I think all parts in our body can show the love in our mind, the eyes, the hands, the smile, and others can work together to help you showing your cares to your lover.

hehe... What about a red rose? Why does a man often give his lover a red rose, not the other kinds of flower to tell his love?
What about a pair of rings in the weeding? Do you know what they want to tell?

Hehe... there are many thing symbolize for love: heart, rose, pink or red, a couple of ring...
people think that the love begin at the heart, maybe they have heart beats when they feel love.
Naturally, there is blood in heart, blood is red, so something has red skin will be symbol of love ^^!
After they tell love voice, they (a couple) want to tie their body, their soul, their destiny... so they wear ring ^^! Do you know first ring human used for love were made by...grass ^^!

I really don't have a determination about the love.
I had studied a lot about the love-theory, but I couldn't control myself when I was front of a girl I like, more exactly, I can't do anything, even say a word.

What is love? This question is difficult to answer. I think that many people unknown things. People are very afraid of unknown things, especially love. People have all kinds of ideas about how to love and treat love. For me, love by the heart is very difficultly, nowaday, love is define that by three word: heart, head & hand. Do you think?
And many people think too that when have a lot of money then have all, sometimes they have money, but there is no love. Do you agree?

Sorry for disturbing the discussion. I think you guys are thinking and discussing about the things which is far away from the topic! The topic is about what symbolize for love, NOT WHAT LOVE IS. Please, turn into the right way, please!

May be said that love of category is complex, but to define love by three words: Heart, head & hand, that's all right too. Relationship?
Perhaps you think different and do you think about some ideas:
- Love conquers all
- Affections blind reasons.

In my opinion!The period of any loves need to be shown by 4 steps as follows:
Firstly, hand in hand - Secondly, hand in something - Thirdly, something in hand and Finally, something in something.
Is it right?
And the most important that is shown as the love start from the friendship and the love finish by the death.

What did you mean by "something"? Could you please to identify it more clearly? +_+ . That's really vague to use something to describe a thing.
Well, I don't think that love will be ended by death. When you die, there is still a thing called "memory", which can help you stay in the alive people's mind forever. All the love that you have been trying to build including the happy time together, what you have done, what you look like, how you get mature ect, will be kept and told people to people. They can be your lover, your mom, your dad, your child, or your grand child.
I myself cheerish a love for granddad who died for nearly 3 years ago. I think that couldn't be end even when I die becuase I will tell my boyfriend, my husband, my child, my grand child about my grand dad.
In addition, when I get in trouble, I often think about him and I, of course, thank to him when I have good luck in life and in work for the love he give me. ^^

When loving, his/her life seems more beautiful, more colour, …because he can share sorrow and happiness with his lover, try to do something better, hope to become a perfect man in her eyes, and how is the feeling “the first hand”? Yep,as I mentioned above, the hand can be considered as a symbol of love for it is warm and sensitive. You can show your care, your help your love through the hand. Actually, it can be strong, even extremely strong or sometimes can be soft, definitely soft depending on your emotion and your range of love. How do you show your love through your hand?

Yes, Feeling of love is so much, when touching the "first hand" of my lover, feel soft, warm and happy. It so difficult to express our emotion in that time. My heart beated thrill, my face was blushed, maybe she has same to me. That night I talked to her more than usual and when come back home, I can't sleep, so happy? Hihi...

I think someone who used to touch "a firrst hand", would have that feelings. And can you talk some feelings about your love?
